The Villans headed into that contest knowing that victory would wrap up a top-four finish and Champions League qualification. They were unable to get over that line, but displayed commendable battling qualities in a six-goal encounter that has them five points clear of Tottenham – with the north London outfit having two games left to take in.

Lehmann was among those in attendance at Villa Park, as the Switzerland international hoped to see boyfriend Luiz secure a seat at European football’s top table for 2024-25. She was spotted waving flags prior to kick-off, before heading down to the field at the final whistle.
